Jail break Gracie

At just two years old, little Gracie has had quite the life already. Rescued in Kentucky, Gracie spent six weeks in prison before making her jail break up to Massachusetts. She is now available for adoption through Baypath Humane Society.

Gracie was part of a inmate program called "Paws behind bars", based in KY, which offers both animals and inmates a chance at a new life. The program pulls dogs, mostly from high kill shelters, and places them with an inmate for 6 weeks. The inmates provide basic training for the dogs, in a huge effort to make them more adoptable. From Gracie's handover we know that she has been taught sit, down, paw, stay, dance, and spin, among other things.

Although Gracie is small in stature, we believe that Gracie has some pointer in her. Super smart and athletic, Gracie loves hiking in the woods, searching for new scents to track.

At home she is a complete snuggle bug, content to curl up on your lap or sprawl out on the couch.
